Inman, one of the important little towns of McPherson county, is located on the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific R. R. 11 miles southwest of McPherson, the county seat. It has a bank, a weekly newspaper (the Inman Review), telegraph and express offices, and an international money order postoffice with four rural routes. The population, according to the census of 1910, was 484. Inman is one of the newer towns of the county, and was named in honor of the famous pioneer character, Henry Inman. It is on the route of the old Santa Fe trail.
