Isabel, an incorporated town in Barber county, is located on the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe R. R. 13 miles north of Medicine Lodge, the county seat. It has a bank, a weekly newspaper (the Herald), over a score of mercantile establishments, expres and telegraph offices, and a money order postoffice with one rural route. The population in 1910 was 222.
