National Military Home, a town of Leavenworth county, is located on the Missouri river and the Union Pacific R. R. 4 miles south of Leavenworth. It has a money order postoffice, express and telegraph offices, and in 1910 had a population of 4,281. It derives its name from the soldier's home established there by the Federal government in 1885.
