Sherwin Junction, a hamlet in Cherokee county, is located in Lota township on the St. Louis & San Francisco and the Missouri Pacific railroads, 6 miles from Columbus, the county seat. It has general stores, a hotel, feed mill, telegraph and express offices, and a money order postoffice. The population in 1910 was 110.
