Dale E. Wagner, assistant cashier of the Citizen's State Bank of Morrill, Kans., is a native of Nebraska. He was born in Richardson county, June 25, 1888, and is a son of Ernest M. and Rosa L. (Morrison) Wagner, the former a native of Illinois and the latter of Kansas. Ernest M. Wagner was successfully engaged in farming and stock raising for several years. He retired about four years before his death, which occurred May 19, 1904, in New Mexico, where he had gone for this health. The family then removed to Morrill, Kans., where Dale E. attended the public schools, graduating from the high school in the class of 1906. He then attended McPherson College, McPherson, Kans., one year, and later took a course in the Hiawatha Academy at Hiawatha, Kans. On January 21, 1908, he entered the employ of the Farmers' Bank of Morrill as bookkeeper, and later became assistant cashier, and held that position until May 21, 1913. He then became associated with the Citizen's State Bank of Morrill as assistant cashier, which position he holds at the present time. He is secretary of the Morrill Mutual Telephone Company, and is a member of the city council of Morrill. Mr. Wagner was married May 4, 1911, to Miss Noma L. Lichty, a daughter of A. W. and Evelyne (Saylor) Lichty of Morrill, Kans. Mrs. Wagner was born in Brown county, Kansas, and educated in the public schools of Morrill. Mr. and Mrs. Wagner are members of the Brethren church, and he is a member of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons.
