Obituary of C. JOSEPH TANNER
C. JOSEPH TANNER - Born February 27, 1827 in Pennsylvania. To 1870 he lived in Virginia and Illinois. In 1857 he was married to Susan Gosney and God blessed the union with eleven (11) children, eight (8) living at the time of his death.

He served three (3) years in the 77th Illinois, during the Civil War and was wounded.

His wife died February 12, 1910, after which he made his home with his two daughters. He passed away September 19, 1921.

Survivors - 5 sons, 3 daughters, 30 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren
