Obituary of ELIZABETH TRAXSON |
Mrs. Elizabeth Traxson, wife of William S. Traxson, 108 West Fourth street, died
at the home at 10:45 o'clock this morning. (Aug 5, 1926) She was 77 years old and
had lived here for sixteen years and prior to that, since 1883, near Angola. She
had been ill for a year and bedfast three weeks. Funeral services will be conducted in the Angola Methodist church at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Burial will be in Richland cemetery, two miles north of Angola. The body was to be removed from the Skinner funeral home to the family home at 4 o'clock this afternoon and lie in state there until 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Besides the husband, four sons and two daughters survive: W. H. Traxson, J.J. Traxson and F.C. Traxson of near Angola, G.W. Traxson of Coffeyville, and Mrs. Don Rose and Mrs. Ernest Ryan of near Angola. Mrs. Traxson was born in London, England, August 2, 1848 and came to this country in 1873, living first in Texas for ten years and then moving to a farm near Angola. A son and a daughter are buried in Richland cemetery. |
