NAME, DATE OF DEATH: Elaine A. Ferland, 74, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, at Plainville Rural Hospital. DATE OF BIRTH and LOCATION: May 3, 1926, in Zurich, Kansas PARENTS: John and Rosa (Balthazor) Marcotte SURVIVORS: Two sons, Dale Ferland, Zurich, and Allen Ferland, Brighton, Colo.; four daughters, Shirley Chapman, Minneapolis, Connie Crawford, Hays, Renee Shaw, Logan, and Shannon Balthazor, Osawatomie; three brothers, Victor Marcotte, Zurich, Idris Marcotte, Huntington, Ark., and Arvon Marcotte, Las Vegas; two sisters, LaVerne Stephen, Hill City, and Gloria Hamel, Wichita; 12 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Her husband, Archil Ferland, two brothers, Delmer “Red” Marcotte, and LeRoy Marcotte. |
