Obituary of ARTHUR A. DIETZ
Arthur A. Dietz, 70, Great Bend, died Oct. 15, (1982) at Central Kansas Medical Center in Great Bend after a short illness. Born May 10, 1912 in Russell County, he married Gertrude Nuss, July 30, 1936 at Milberger. She survives. He retired as vice president of Thies in Great Bend in 1976.

He was an Elder in Trinity Lutheran Church, and was a member of the American Legion, Elks, Lions Club, Petroleum Club, and Lake Barton Golf Club, all of Great Bend.

He is also survived by one son, Dennis L., Wichita; one daughter, Karen Moffat, Fairway; three brothers, Soloman, Galatia; F. Carl, Otis; and Bernard, Richmond, Calif.; three sisters, Elizabeth Haun, Galatia, Clara Merckle, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Rose Funk, Otis; and four grandchildren.

The funeral was Monday at the church with Rev. Robert Studtmann officiating. Burial was in the Great Bend Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the church.

The funeral was at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend with the Rev. Robert Studtmann officiating. Burial was in the Great Bend Cemetery.
Survivors are the wife, of the home; son, Dennis L., Wichita; daughter, Karen Moffat, Fairway; brothers, Soloman, Galatia, F. Carl, Otis, and Bernard, Richmond, Calif.; sisters, Elizabeth Haun, Galatia, Clara Meckle, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Rose Funk, Otis; and four grandchildren.
