Obituary of AGNES DIETZ |
Agnes Dietz, 94, Russell, died Wednesday, October 24,
2001, at Russell Regional Hospital, Russell. She was born August 18,
1907, at Leoti, the daughter of George Henry and Marie Magdelena Mai
Gideon. She lived most of her life in the Russell area, attended school in the Milberger area, moved from a farm to Russell in 1948. She was a homemaker and worked as a cook at Simpson School, and Alafern Nursing Home, and for a time she and her husband were custodians at the Home State Bank in Russell. Agnes was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and Russell Senior Center, both in Russell. She was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband; and two brothers, Adam and Herman Gideon; and two sisters, Malena and an infant sister. Survivors include: a son, LaVerne Dietz, Russell; a daughter, Cindy Haselhorst, Gorham; six grandchildren; two step grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 26, at St. John Lutheran Church, Russell, with Rev. Harlan Kaden officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church and Russell Senior Center in care of the mortuary. |
