Obituary of ALBERT "BERT" DUMLER
Albert "Bert" Dumler, formerly of Russell, died Saturday (9 February 1985) following a lengthy illness.

Born Jan 1, 1905, in Russell, he was a son of (Johann) George B. and Maria Dumler and lived on the family farm north of town. Dumler joined the U.S. Marines in 1922, after leaving Russell. After 10 years military duty, he settled in San Diego, Calif., where he held a Civil Service Position. On his retirement, he moved to Watsonville.

Survivors are his wife, Verna, of the home at 709 Almond Drive, Watsonville, Calif., 95076; a step daughter, Jane Crawford, Watsonville; a brother, Carl Dumler, San Diego, Calif; sisters, Mrs. Gracie Wilkerson and Pauline Dumler, both of Russell; an aunt, Hilda Dumler of Russell; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.  Dumler was a member of the First Baptist Church in Watsonville.

The funeral service was Monday with internment in a San Diego cemetery.  A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
