Obituary of ANETHA DUNKEL
Anetha B. Dunkel, 70, 761 E. 2nd St., Russell, died Sunday (1979) at her home. She was born Aug. 31, 1909, near Milberger in Russell County. She was a lifetime resident of the Russell area.

She married John E. Dunkel, who survives, on Sept 5, 1954, at Milberger. She had been a bookkeeper for many years in grocery stores, for the Russell State Bank and retired in 1971 from the J.C. Penney Store.

She was a member of the United Emanuel Lutheran Church, Milberger, to which a memorial in her name has been established.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Pohlman's Memorial Chapel, Rev. Robert Kreier, officiating. Burial will be in the Bunker Hill Cemetery.

Survivors besides the widower are a son, Palmer Strecker, of Great Bend; two step sons, Edward Dunkel of Salina and Loy Dunkel of Sarasota, Fla.; two step daughters, Mrs. Marie Derington of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Donnie Gariepy of LaCrosse; one brother, Lothar Strecker of Russell; two grandchildren; 15 step grandchildren, 22 step great-grandchildren.
Pohlman's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
