Obituary of ALVINA M. KEIL
Alvina M. Keil, 87, Russell, died Monday, October 22, 2001, at Salina Regional Health Center, Santa Fe Campus, Salina.

She was born August 10, 1914, at Barton County, near Milberger, the daughter of Philip and Sophia Herdt Miller.

Alvina and Ruebin Keil were married in 1933. He died in 1977.

She lived nearly all of her life in the Russell area, was a homemaker, and worked for a number of years at Russell's Inn making the salads.

Alvina was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Russell.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; two infant sons, Lester and Glenn; a son, Jerry; and grandson, Ivan Bridges; and three brothers, Herman, Earl and Marvin Miller.

Survivors include: two sons, Eugene Keil, Great Bend, and Gary Keil, Salina; two daughters, Arlene Nickelson, Gothenburg, Nebraska, and Maryann Keil, Russell; two brothers, Emanuel Miller, Hoisington, and Melvin Miller, Hutchinson; one sister, Lenora Music, Hutchinson; 13 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 25, at St. John Lutheran Church, Russell, with Rev. Henry Hartman officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 24 at Pohlman's Mortuary, Russell, and from 9:30 a.m. to service time Thursday, October 25, at the church.
Memorials are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church, or American Heart Association in care of the mortuary.
