Obituary of ALBERT WESLEY KRUG

Albert Wesley Krug, 74, 228 N. Brooks St., died Wednesday, Dec. 8, (1982) in Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, where he underwent open heart surgery recently.

Born March 4, 1908, on a farm south of Russell, he was a son of Harry and Pauline (Dumler) Krug. He was married to the former Mollie Reisig Dec. 6, 1931, in Russell. She survives him.

Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Gunnar (Pauline) Alkanis, Topeka; two sons, Morris F. and Robert W. , Russell; and a brother, Herbert R., Russell; and five grandchildren.

A lifelong area farmer and stockman, he operated farms in the Russell area and in Western Kansas in addition to other business interests. He and his wife moved into Russell from the farm a mile southwest of town in 1964. The farming interests were taken over by his two sons in recent years. He remained associated with them in the operation. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church and the Russell Elks Lodge.
The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at the St. John Lutheran Church. Pastor Herman Frerichs officiated. Burial was in the Russell Cemetery.
Pohlman's Mortuary, Russell, was in charge of arrangements.
