Obituary of BEN KUBO
Ben Kubo, 82, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at Hutchinson Hospital, Hutchinson.

He was born November 29, 1919, near Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, the son of Ujiro and Konami Kinoto Kobo. He was a linotype operator for the Russell Daily News, retiring in 1982. He had been a Russell resident since 1975.

He was a member of the Episcopal Church, Mitchell, Nebraska, and the Kansas Press Association.

He married Lillian Luekenga Huddleston at Laramie, Wyoming, on November 4, 1967. She survives.

Other survivors include: three sons, James R. Huddleston, Colorado Springs, Colorado, John F. Huddleston, Wichita, and Jerry L. Huddleston, Tribune; one daughter, Gail Ogle, Russell; one sister, Rose Yamamoto, Gering, Nebraska; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. (M.S.T.) Wednesday, March 13, at the First Presbyterian Church, Tribune, with Rev. Mike Underwood officiating.

Burial will follow in Greeley County Cemetery, Tribune.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home, Tribune.

Memorials may be given to the Russell County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, the Russell County Recreation Commission, both of Russell, or the Greeley County Historical Society, Tribune, in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 161, Leoti, Kansas 67861.
