Obituary of ELVIN R. BRICKLEY
Elvin R. Brinkley, 71, died Tuesday, May 21, (Year not indicated), at St. Francis Hospital, Wichita. He was born Aug. 14, 1913, of Sallyards, Kan.

He married Zelphia E. Pate, Sept. 3, 1937, at El Dorado. She survives at the home, 565 E. 7th St.
Mr. Brinkley was a graduate of El Dorado High School and Junior College and received a degree a the University of Kansas. He moved to Russell the day of his marriage and in his early years at Russell High School taught biology, later physics and chemistry. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was a member of K-NEA and NEA and the Retired Teachers Association and a past member of Rotary Club.

He also leaves a son, Christopher, of Larned.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Rev. Rick Thornton, with burial in Russell City Cemetery.
Memorial is the Elvin R. Brickley Memorial Science Scholarship.  Friends may call from 9 a.m. Thursday to 9 a.m. Friday at Pohlman's Mortuary.
