Funeral Card of MRS. ELIZABETH KEIL

In remembrance of, Mrs. Elizabeth Keil, May 10, 1888, Barton County, Kansas to April 20, 1969, Hoisington, Kansas. Services: Wednesday, April 23, 1969, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Milberger, Kansas, 2:30 p.m. Clergyman, Pastor Stanley Padgett. Music, Mrs. LaVern Becker, Organist, Congregational singing. Interment, Milberger Cemetery. Casket Bearers Gerhard Keil, Hubert Keil, Julius Keil, Melvin Keil, Waldomar Keil, Dr. Ernest Keil. Arrangements by Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Inc. Hoisington, Kansas.

Mrs. Elizabeth "Pope" Keil, daughter of George Pope and Dorothea Schneider, was born in Barton county, Kansas, May 10, 1888. In early infancy, she was baptized and later confirmed in the Christian faith. She retained this faith throughout her lifetime.
On May 10, 1908, she was united in marriage to Victor Keil in the Lutheran church at Milberger. This marriage was blessed with 11 children: seven boys and four girls. Two daughters, Esther and Florence, preceded in death. Victor preceded in death on Mar. 6, 1964.
In may 1967, Mrs. Keil resided at the Homestead Villa, Hoisington and passed away in Hoisington Lutheran Hospital, Sunday afternoon, April 20, 1969, at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 10 days.
She is survived by seven sons: Gerhard, Hubert and Clifford of Russell; Julius, Casper, Wyo.; Dr. Ernest Keil, Bedford Mass.; Melvin, Hoisington and Waldomar, Kansas City, Mo; two daughters, Mrs. Ernest "Clara" Galliart and Mrs. Ervin "Josephine" Springer, both of Hoisington; one brother, John Pope, of Canon City, Colo.; 17 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren an four step great-grandchildren.
