Obituary of DR. FREDERICK L. KOERBER

Dr. Frederick L. Koerber died April 2, 1979 in Phoenix, Ariz., at the age of 66.

Dr. Koerber, the sixth son of the late Dr. Gustav Adolph and Martha Koerber of Hoisington, was born in Russell, June 9, 1912. His parents moved to Hoisington when he was a small boy.

He attended the Hoisington schools and following his graduation from high school he attended the University of Kansas at Lawrence where he received an a. B. degree. He graduated from medical school in 38 and served his internship at St. Joseph Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.

Dr. Koerber moved to Arizona in 1940 and served in the United States Army during World War II. He did Industrial Medicine, worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and was active in Geriatric medicine at the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Vendeta; a daughter, Pamela Johnson; one grandchildren, Julie; three sisters, Mrs. Rosalie Steinert of Pratt, Mrs. Ortrude Harris of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Irmgard Corbin of Ft. Smith, Ark.; three brothers, Bernard Koerber, from Penn., Marvin Koerber from Texas, and Paul Koerber, of Arizona.
