Funeral Card of FREDRICK WILLIAM DEWALD
Fredrick William, the son of Jacob and Anna Elizabeth DeWald, nee Streck, was born April 2, 1890 in Russell County and baptized the following month on May 4. On May 21, 1905 he was confirmed at Milberger, where he has been a member of the Lutheran church until his death.

He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Fleger on April 22, 1923. There were five children born to this union. Most of his lifetime was spent on the farm and for many years they farmed 13 miles north of Otis. He enjoyed good health until about a year ago. He was admitted to the St. Rose Hospital at Great Bend, on April 3 and there on May 19, 1954, he quietly passed away. Aged 64 years, 1 month and 17 days.

Surviving him are his wife Elizabeth, five daughters, Mrs. Lyllian Roberts, Primrose, Nebr.; Virginia DeWald, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Willmetta Sealock, Columbus, Ohio; Shirley DeWald, Great Bend, Kan.; Dianna DeWald of the home. Also two brothers, Jacob and Emanuel DeWald; six sisters, Mrs. Mary Katsch, Los Angeles, Calif; Mrs. Lydia Funk, Otis Kan.; Mrs. Hannah Nuss, Russell, Kans,; Mrs. Emma Liebsack, Otis, Kans.; Bertha DeWald, Russell, Kans.; Mrs. Agnes Pearson, Washington, D.C.; and two grandchildren.

Services: Held from the Deines Funeral Home, Saturday, May 22, 1954 at 2:00 p.m. and from the American Lutheran Church at Milberger, 2:30 p.m.
Minister: Rev. C. Landdeck
Casket Bearers: Leroy DeWald, Herman Funk, Doran DeWald, Phillip Streck, Edwin Funk, Gus Streck.
Music: Congregational Singing and Church Choir
Final Resting Place: Milberger Cemetery.
