Funeral Card of HAROLD HUGO LEANDO STEINERT
Harold Hugo Leando, son of Fred and Elizabeth (Streckter) Steinert was born June 18, 1906, at the farm home in north Barton County, Kansas. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, May 28, 1961 in the Russell City Hospital at 7:45 p.m. His age was 54 years, 11 months and 10 days.

In early infancy he was consecrated to the Lord in Holy Baptism and after becoming of age, he was confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He remained a true and devout member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Milberger throughout his life. He attended grade school, grew to manhood and became a valued and esteemed member of the community life at Milberger.

On June 1, 1930, he was united in marriage to Ophelia Michaelis at Otis, Kansas. This marriage was blessed with one child, who survives him. He spent his adult life in farming and while active in community, church and social affairs, his chief interest was his home and family. For the past year he had been suffering from a heart ailment although most of his friends were unaware of this. Harold was always cheerful and friendly with all those with whom he came in contact. He was stricken last Sunday afternoon at their home west of Milberger and rushed to the Russell Hospital by his wife but medical science was of no avail and he passed away about six hours later.
