Obituary of HENRY L. DIETZ |
Henry L. Dietz, 76, died Saturday (1983 only date available) night at Asbury Hospital, Salina. He was born May 19, 1906 in Kutter, Russia and came to the United States as an infant. He lived most of his life in Barton and Russell counties, moving to Russell in 1959 where he lived at 956 E. 3rd. St. He was a retired farmer/stockman. He married Lena Templing Sept. 18, 1927, in the Bender Hill Lutheran Church. He is survived by this widow, Lena, of the home; two sons, Elroy and Harlan, both of Russell; a daughter, Mrs. Stanton (Mary) Oppenheimer, Shreveport, La.; brothers, Jacob and Ferdinand, both of Russell, and Arvin, Lawrenceburg, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Herbert (Tadea) Krug, of Russell; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the St. John Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Herman Frerichs officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pohlman's Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family suggests memorials to the Russell City Hospital Foundation. |
