| NAME, DATE OF DEATH: Irene Marie Steckel, 89, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, at Hays Medical Center. DATE OF BIRTH and LOCATION: She was born Oct. 5, 1910, on a farm north of Dorrance, Kansas PARENTS: John P. and Ida Virginia (Garrett) Thielen SURVIVORS: Her son, Rodney �Rod,� Russell; a brother, George Thielen, Dorrance; a sister, Vivian Anschutz, Dorrance; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a step great-grandchild. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Her husband, C. J. Steckel |
