Obituary of JACOB STRECK
Jacob Streck Dies at Hadley Hospital
Jacob Streck, who had operated a creamery and produce store here for 63 years, died Saturday evening (27 September 1975) at Hadley Memorial Hospital, Hays, at the age of 86.

He was born March 17, 1889, at Husenbach, Russia, and came to this country at about 2 years old. He came to Barton County and attended school near Bender Hill. On March 28, 1909, he married Maria Magdelena Berschauer at the Milberger chuch. She died Nov. 5, 1954.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Survivors are a son, Dr. John Streck, Hays, and five daughters: Mrs. Dorothea Dumler, Hays, Mrs. Lillian Craig, Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Viola Bodenhamer, Sabetha, and Mrs. Mae Barkley, Tulsa, Okla.; three half-brothers, Ben Streck, San Mateo, Calif.; two half-sisters, Mrs. Anna Breidenstine, Great Bend, and Mrs. Helen Luke, Syracuse, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church, Rev. Herman Frerichs officiating. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in his name to the educational scholarship fund.
Pohlman's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
