Obituary of J. EDWARD BOXBERGER
Final Rites Thursday for J. Edward Boxberger
A memorial service for J. Edward Boxberger, 66, Winterset community in southeastern Ellis County, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 9, (1966) in the Deines Brothers Funeral Home. Final rites will be in the American Lutheran Church at Milberger at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Emil Kuehn officiating. Burial will be in the Galatia Cemetery.

Mr. Boxberger died early Monday morning (1966) in his sleep. Born Oct. 5, 1900, in Winterset township, he was baptized in the American Lutheran Church and was a life-long member. He was married, April 24, 1922, to the former Pauline Mai of Russell.

Survivors include his widow, Pauline, of the home; three sons, Arlyn, Great Bend, Dennis and Kenneth of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Elbert (Frances) Hoffman, Gorham, Mrs. Carl (Dorris) Black, Lohman, Mo., and Mrs. Larry (Norma) Schwien, Russell; 10 grandchildren; one great grandchild; two step-grandchildren, and two brothers, J. Ben Boxberger, Russell, and J. William Boxberger, Hoisington. A son, Vernon, and a daughter Florence, preceded him in death.
