Obituary of JOHN EDWARD MORGENSTERN
John E. Morgenstern, 83, died Tuesday at the Russell City Hospital. Born Dec. 21, 1897, in Winterset Township in Russell County, he married Bertha Heil May 27, 1919, in Hoisington. She died June 13, 1972. He was a retired farmer-stockman and was a lifetime resident of the Russell area.

Morgenstern was a member of the St. Lutheran Church in Russell.

Survivors include two sons, LeRoy of Hoisington and Leon of Broomfield, Colo, one daughters, Mrs. Gloria Sellens of Hays, one sister, Mrs. Pauline Krug of Wichita; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Herman Frerichs officiating. Burial will be in the Milberger Cemetery in Milberger. Friends may call until 9 a.m. Saturday at the Pohlman's Mortuary in Russell. The family suggests memorials to the church or Heart Fund.
