Obituary of KARL D. MILLER |
Karl D. Miller, 86, who was born in Russell, Nov. 28, 1895, died Wednesday, July 28, (1982) at the VA Hospital in Topeka. He went to Topeka in 1915 from Russell and was a landowner. He was a World War I veteran. He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Topeka and remembered the Otterbein UM Church here with gifts in honor of his parents, Martin Paul and Catherine (Groff) Miller. His nephews here are Groff and Henry Martin Miller. He visited them over the years. Mr. Miller was also a member of Orient Lodge No. 51 AF&AM Scottish Rite Bodies No. 5, Capital Court, Order of Amaranth, and Jayhawk Barracks No. 1113 of the World War I Veterans. In June, 1963, he married Pauline A. Bain in Topeka. She survives with two stepdaughters, Barbara Walker of Omaha, Neb., and Jolyne Heiseiman, Long Beach, Calif. Services were held at the Penwall Gable Funeral Home in Topeka. Interment is in the Mt. Hope Chapel Mausoleum, Topeka. |
