Obituary of MARJORIE L. KERCHER
Marjorie L. Kercher, 86, died Friday, November 23, 2001, at Russell Regional Hospital, Russell.

She was born June 6, 1915 at Grayville, Illinois, the daughter of William and Daphne Kingsbury Schaich.
Marjorie married Robert F. Kercher January 6, 1942, at Evansville, Indiana. He survives.

She lived her early life in Illinois and Indiana, graduated from high school at Grayville, Illinois, and attended business college for a year. They moved to Great Bend and then on to Russell in 1957. She worked for several years as a clerk in local jewelry stores, as well as being a homemaker.

Marjorie was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Gamma Zeta Sorority, Russell Regional Hospital Auxiliary, and Gray Ladies, all of Russell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Eleanor and Virginia Schaich.

Survivors include: her husband, Robert Kercher, Russell; and one sister, Marcella Dobbs, Grayville, Illinois.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Russell, with Rev. Glenn Tombaugh and Fr. James Grennan officiating.

Burial will be at Grayville Cemetery, Grayville, Illinois.
Additional services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 30, at the Strum Funeral Home, Grayville, Illinois.

Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, at Pohlman's Mortuary, Russell, and from 9:30 a.m. to time of service at the church Wednesday.

Memorials are suggested to the Russell Hospital Auxiliary, or American Cancer Society in care of the mortuary.
