Obituary of MARIE KING
Marie King, 87, Russell, died Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at her home in Russell.

She was born October 31, 1914, at McAlester, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ed Franklin and Mammie Effie Casteel Ferrell.

Marie married James Lonnie King, September 15, 1934, at Crowder, Oklahoma. He died December 10, 1983.

She lived her early life in Oklahoma, moved to Ada, Oklahoma and on to Russell in 1937. She was a homemaker and very active in the American Legion Auxiliary.

Marie was a member of the First Baptist Church and American Legion Auxiliary, Russell.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; one brother, William Farrell; and two sisters, Pearl Binger and Charlie Benson.

Survivors include: a sister-in-law, Ruby Farrell, Camdenton, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, april 13, at First Baptist Church, Russell, with Rev. Terry West officiating.

Burial will follow at Crowder Cemetery, Crowder, Oklahoma.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church, Russell, in care of Pohlman's Mortuary, Russell.
