NAME, DATE OF DEATH: Opal G. Cronn, 88, former Paradise resident, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington. DATE OF BIRTH and LOCATION: Feb. 23, 1912, in Luray, Kansas PARENTS: Alex and Mary Edna (Pattin) Whitman SURVIVORS: Her husband, George Cronn, Hoisington; a son, Duane, Paradise, a daughter, Loretta Baum, Hoisington; a brother, Elbert “Spud” Whitman, Paradise; a sister, Florence McCurry, Liberal; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and 10 stepgreat-great-grandchildren. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Two daughters, Leota Harrall and Shirley Nelson, two grandchildren, and three brothers, Henry, Charley and Fred Whitman |
