Obituary of OSCAR S. BEAN
Oscar S. Bean, 83, Las Vegas, Nevada, died March 9, 2002.

He was born March 17, 1918 at Waldo. He was a captain with United Airlines for 34 years, retiring in 1979.

He was preceded in death by: a daughter, Shirley Bean; a brother, Elbert Bean, Montrose, Colorado; and two sisters, Velma Dalke, McPherson, and Juanita Ehrlich, Russell.

Survivors include, his wife, Lois J. Bean; a son, John Bean, Houston, Texas; a stepson, Dewey "Buddy" Whitener, Griffin, Ga.; a daughter, Darlene Hagner, Huntley, Illinois; a stepdaughter, Shirley Graff, Costa Mesa, California; a brother, Olin Bean, Phillipsburg, a sister, Irene Whitmer, Ellsworth; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Services, Las Vegas, handled arrangements.
