Funeral Card of PAULINE KRUG

Pauline Krug, daughter of George Jacob and Katherine (Reinhardt) Dumler, was born at a family farm home southwest of Russell on October 24, 1889. He departed this life at The Hadley Memorial Hospital, Hays, Kansas on December 18, 1966. Her age was 77 years, 1 month and 24 days.

A lifetime resident of this community, she was baptized in early infancy. Later, after becoming of age, she was confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Milberger. She received her early education and training in the rural school and farming community where she was born.

On January 20, 1907, she was united in marriage to George Henry (Harry) Krug in the Bender Hill Church. After their marriage they established their home on a farm 9 miles southwest of Russell to become a vital part of that community. In 1935 they retired from active farming and came to Russell to establish their home at 207 Kansas Street. Here also, she became a part of the community life and with her cheerful disposition, a smile for everyone and her interest in her church, her family and home, together with her creative ability in art, knitting, and other home crafts, she held the esteem and friendship of all who came in contact with her.

She was blessed with good health most of her lifetime until she suffered a stroke about 6 years ago, and for the past 3 1/2 years she had been in the hospital.

To treasure her memory are her husband, Harry Krug; two sons, Albert and Herbert; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also three sisters, Mrs. Levi (Carrie) Holl, Russell; Mrs. Lydia Krug, Topeka; Mrs. Oscar (Amelia) Karst, Great Bend; four brothers, Robert, Hoisington; Harry, Newton; Jacob, Salina and Herbert of Cudahy, Calif.; and many other near relatives and close friends. Her parents and a brother, Ben Dumler preceded her in death.

Memorial Service - Held Tuesday, December 20, 1966 at 1:30 p.m. from the Deines Funeral Home with Final Rites from St. John Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. Pastor R. G. Sedo, officiating.
Organist: Mrs. Howard Vladar.
Hymns: "Jesus Still Lead On" "On Take My Hand Dear Lord"
Casket Bearers: Paul Nutsch, Marvin Becker, Leland Nuss, John Herman, Eugene Lamb, Dudley Cranston.
Laid to Rest: In the Russell City Cemetery, Russell, Kansas.
Service entrusted to Deines Brothers Funeral Home.
