Obituary of PAUL V. LAUBHAN
Paul V. Laubhan, 76, a lifetime Russell resident, died Sunday, June 30, 2001, at Russell Regional Hospital, Russell.

He was born August 10, 1924, at Russell, the son of John and Maria Nuss Laubhan.

After World War II, in which he served in the U.S. Army, he returned to Russell and worked for the city of Russell's Electric Department for several years. In 1960 he started his own business, Laubhan Electric, a old field contracting business, retiring in 1985. He was also a volunteer fireman for the city of Russell for 33 years.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Masonic Lodge, American Legion Post, Life member of VFW post, and Shrine Club, all of Russell. He was also a member of Consistory and Shrine and Legion of Honor, all of Salina.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Georg, Vistor, and Steven Laubhan, Russell; one sister, Ruth Sands, Hobbs, NM.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 5, at St. John Lutheran Church, with Rev. Henry Hartman officiating.

Burial will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Russell. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, at Pohlman's Mortuary, and from 9:30 a.m. to service time Thursday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Shrine Hospitals or St. John Lutheran Church in care of the mortuary.
