Funeral Card of PHOEBE TABEA STRECK
Phoebe Tabea Streck, daughter of Fred J. and Elizabeth (Dumler) Dumler, was born February 25, 1906. She departed this life on September 21, 1975, at her home in Russell, at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 26 days.

Phoebe lived her entire life in the Russell area. She received her basic education in the schools near her family home and later received some advanced education and taught school near Russell for a few years. On April 24, 1927, she was united in marriage to John F. Streck at Russell, and this union was blessed with three daughters, Betty, Bonny and Mary. The family lived on a farm south of Russell until 1936, when they moved to Russell to make their home. They then began the family operation of a dairy which they operated for many years.

Beside her work with John in the dairy, Phoebe enjoyed reading, and would also spend many hours sewing, an avocation at which she was very efficient.
She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church of Russell, and was also a member of the Lutheran Church Women.

Those who preceded her in death were her parents, and her husband John, who died on June 9, 1975.
Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Kulp (Culp?), of Salina, Miss Bonnie Streck, of Wichita, and Mrs. James (Mary) Quint of Imperial, Nebraska; three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Arpha) Klassen of Salina, Mrs. Clarence (Evelyn) Baker of Arvada, Colorado, and Mrs. Clifford (Violet) Pabitzky of Yuma, Arizona, three grandchildren, several other relatives and a host of friends.
