Obituary of REUBEN MORGENSTERN

Reuben Morgenstern, 68, Dies at Ulysses
Reuben Morgenstern, 58, a former resident of Russell County, Died Thursday night (16 June 1966), at a Ulysses (Kan.) hospital. He had entered the hospital shortly before, following a heart attack.

Mr. Morgenstern was born and raised in Russell County. He attended grade school at Milberger and was confirmed in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church at Milberger.

He also lived in Russell and Gorham. He served as the first mayor of Gorham. For the past 32 years, he had been employed with the Pan American Oil Company. He had lived in Ulysses four years.

Survivors are the widow, Margaret, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Eugene Schneider, Wichita; five brothers, C. R. and Harry Morgenstern, both of Russell, Fay, Denver, Colo., Chancey, San Jose, Calif., Elmo R., Medicine Lodge; four sisters, Mrs. Rosie Campbell and Mrs. Gene Smejkal, both of Russell, Mrs. Paul Fuhr and Mrs. Jack Baldwin, Great Bend; two grandchildren, Charles and Terry Lee Schneider.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 Sunday in the Cook and Weber Funeral Home at Great Bend. Burial will be in the Great Bend Cemetery.
