He was born April 1, 1946, at Goodland, the son of John and Erma Anderson Hoss.

He married Betty J. Witt in 1973 at Lincoln. They were later divorced.

Terry lived nearly all his life in the Bunker Hill and Russell area. He was a truck driver for many years, most of this time he operated his own trucking business.
He was a Vietnam veteran service as a U.S. Marine and was a life member of VFW Post No. 6240, Russell.

Terry was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include: his father, John Hoss, Russell; two sons, Shawn Hoss, Hays, and Cody Hoss, Russell; one daughter, Terri Jane Hoss, Hays; one brother, Roger Hoss, Russell; one sister, Judy Novotny, Holyrood; and two grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 6, at Pohlman's Memorial Chapel, Russell, with Rev. Earl Haggard officiating.

Burial will follow at Bunker Hill Cemetery, rural Russell County.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, October 5, and 9 a.m. to service time, Saturday, October 6, at the chapel.

Memorials are suggested to Russell Regional Hospital in care of the mortuary.
