Obituary of VIRGINIA K. HAGGART
Virginia K. Haggart, 89, Russell, died Wednesday, October 10, 2001, at Wheatland Nursing Center, Russell.

She was born October 11, 1911, at Topeka, the daughter of Ivan and Rosa Kay Haggart.

Virginia lived most of her life in Topeka. She was a librarian at Washburn College for many years, only having lived in Russell for the past few years.

Survivors include: one sister, Betty Smith, Russell; a niece, Martha Smith Eby; and five great-nieces, Shelby McCart, Norman, Oklahoma, Carrie Jo Hockett, Valley Center, Cynthia Smith, Fayette, Mo., Catherine Smith Marrow, Seattle, Washington, and Elizabeth Quaney, Topeka.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 12, at Pohlman's Memorial Chapel, Russell, with Rev. Earl Haggard officiating.

Internment will be at a later date and time at the Topeka Cemetery, Topeka.
