Not only will this list be a format for sharing information on Barton County among researchers but we will use it to notify you all of changes and additions to the Barton County KSGenWeb page. We also plan on putting new queries on the list before they appear on the website.
Instructions appear below on subscribing to the list.......
2. How to unsubscribe.
Send a message to:
KSBARTON-L-request@rootsweb.com
that contains (in the body of the message) the command
unsubscribe
and no additional text.
3. How to subscribe or change to digest mode (several postings are combined and
sent to you together as a single large message).
There are two
steps.
First, send the command "unsubscribe" to
KSBARTON-L-request@rootsweb.com to discontinue mail mode.
Second,
send the command "subscribe" to KSLINCOL-D-request@rootsweb.com
to start receiving digests.
4. How to change to NOMAIL mode.
There is no formal NOMAIL mode.
All you have to do is follow the directions above and unsubscribe
when you want the messages to stop, and then when you want them
to start again, simply subscribe again.
5. If you'd like to post a message so everyone on the mailing
list receives it:
just send it to KSBARTON-L@rootsweb.com. It
will then be sent on to everyone in both mail and digest mode.
You don't need to send it explicitly to both. In order to prevent/curb spamming we have made this a closed list. What that means is that if you want to send a message to the list you have to subscribe to it. If you just want to send one message but don't want to remain on the list you have the option of subscribing, sending in your message, and then unsubscribing. ALTHOUGH WE HOPE YOU'LL STICK AROUND!!!
