Topic: Burial Place of Ida Goddard

My Great Grandmother, Ida Goddard, is buried "somewhere" in Bourbon County. No one in my family knows where. There is a family tradition that she is buried in or near Garland, and that she probably died late 1918 (perhaps in connection with the flu epidemic). She would not have been an old woman at the time. She was married to Albert Edward Goddard who is buried in Wichita, and who died 1951. I am still getting my feet wet with Bourbon County (am experienced researcher, just don't know Bourbon County). Where could I begin with this one?

My grandfather Thomas was born there, Lucinda died when he was about 2 yrs, year would be about 1886-87. I located a Lucinda listed at Franklin(have sent for copy of will listing that town)hopefully it is her. How far is Franklin from Fort Scott? Any help would be appreciated. Please email me

I'm looking for information on the Petrie Family. Charles Orin Petrie was born March 22, 1880 in Fort Scott, Bourbon, Kansas.

His parents were:

William Hugh Petrie b. in Michigan
Ella Elizabeth Millis b. in Indiana

That's all I have on the parents. I know Charles Petrie's descendants, but am interested in finding out more about his ancestors.
