I'm looking for a picture of my g-grandfather Charles Perkins who lived in Fort. Scott. He was know as quite a ballplayer in his day and was on the first volunteer Fire Dept. He was related to Phillip Sheridan Perkins who owned a store, restaurant and was in local politics in the 20's or 30's. My grandmother was Charles daughter, Ruth and was sent to an orphanage so she had no contact with her Father.
Thank you for any help,

Date: Thursday, August 07, 2003 03:25 PM

Dear Bourbon County Friends,
Could one of you kind folks do a search for me of cemetery records of Bourbon County for a Frederick Valentine Hagan. He is a great Uncle on my father's side. He was born February 14, 1859 in Hardin County, Kentucky, and died, as the family story goes, in Fort Scott, Kansas. He had come to Kansas from California to live out his final days under the care of an aunt, Mary Vincent Hagan, who was a Nun at Mercy Hospital in Fort Scott. Fred Hagan appears in the 1930 US census in California. I do not know his date of death.
Thank you, all, for the help.
Sincerely,
Raymond Donald Hagan

Topic: Allen
From: Debbie Allen 7kidds@cox.net

Looking for Francis Myers Allen born 6 Jan 1816 in Ohio. He married Charlotte Smith. Francis was listed in a directory in Fort Scott, Bourbon Co., Kansas 1885. He
lived in Hammond, Kansas. He was a residence, east side Crawford, 5 doors south of Montgomery. A.P. Allen was a clerk at F.M. Allen grocery, Crawford St. He boards, east side Crawford-5doors on South Montogomery. This is the last record I have found on Francis and Charlotte. I feel they moved some where else in Kansas or west to Colorado. I have not found them on the 1990 census. I feel they must have died by 1900 because Francis would have been about 84 years old and his wife would have been about 78.
