Looking for information for the following ancestors in BROWN COUNTY: Emily ARCHER, b in Hiawatha in 1878. Her mother 's name was Mary E. Archer. Found a John and Mary ARCHER in Brown County in the 1880 census, but they do not list a daughter by that name. Emily married Charles R. Montgomery and they lived in the late 1880's and early 1900's in Holt and Grundy County Missouri. Can anyone help with this. It would be nice to find a birth record, but that is not available at the court house. Would anyone have access to church birth/christening records for that time period in Hiawatha? Any Archers related to Emily.

Ann O'Hara Sat Jun 7 10:59:45 1997 Seeking descendants or any info on John THOMAS, who lived in Claytonville Twp., Brown Co., in 1870. He is believed to be the brother of Margaret Thomas (Mrs. Joseph) Carr, who lived in the same township. John Thomas was a Civil War vet who moved to Kansas, probably from NYS, probably after the war. He, his three brothers and two sisters were all born in Orange Co. NY. My gggrandfather, Sylvester Thomas, mentions a sister Margaret and a brother John who died in Kansas. One brother, Ira, died in the war and the rest (Margaret, John, Aaron and Mary) are unaccounted for. If I can confirm that this Margaret and John were indeed Sylvester's siblings, I'll have located half of the children. I have quite a bit of material on their ancestors and expect to turn up more
