BAZAAR CEMETERY

The first cemetery, was located on what is now the Titus-Stout Ranch. Martha J. Leonard (who named Bazaar) whose death occured in, 1858 was among those buried there, but was later moved to the present cemetery which dates back to 1875. Articles of Incorporation were issued to the Bazaar Cemetary Association on April 23, 1881. On June 23, 1920 a general warranty deed transferred the cemetery to the township and at this time (1972) that is its legal status.
