Bazaar Depot

Bazaar became a railroad station in 1887 when the A.T. & S.F. railroad built to that point. With the coming of the railroad Bazaar became for a time the largest cattle shipping point in the state hauling annually as many as 2,000 cars in a season.

In 1923 the line was built through to EIDorado. For several years business continued to thrive and an agent and two operators were employed with service ''around the clock.''

With the building of the turnpike, (officially opened on October 25, 1956) the trucking industry took over a large part of the cattle business and the depot was torn down in 1970.
