Bazaar School Early students included:

The first schools at Bazaar were subscription
schools held in rented log cabins. The first schoolhouse was built in 1860. It was of log slabs. These
slabs were also used for the benches with wooden
pegs for legs. There was a fireplace at one end of
the room. In 1871 a building of stone was begun.
This served the district until a modern two room
school was built. It was dedicated November 9,
1917. On March 22, 1965 a meeting was held, resulting in the consolidation with the Cottonwood
Falls school. The building was then turned over to
the township for use as a community building
The Bazaar Ladies Aid furnished funds for a
modern kitchen in the room formerly used as a library. Anna Yeager is listed as the first district
school teacher.
