DeWeese, Robert Wendell
Robert Wendell DeWeese, 74, died Aug. 19, 2003, at the Gainesville Health Care Center in Gainesville, Mo.
Robert Wendell DeWeese was born on Oct. 15, 1928, in Emporia to Robert Bruce DeWeese and Evelyn Lang DeWeese. He married June Caywood July 4, 1950, in Caldwell. He worked as a carpenter and fishing guide.
He is survived by his wife of the home; four sons, Tony DeWeese of Louisville, Ky., Brad DeWeese and Barry DeWeese of Gainesville, Mo. and Bruce DeWeese of Hardenville, Mo.; two daughters, Robin Walker of Gainesville, Mo. and Cindy Turner of Thornfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Bill DeWeese of
Emporia and Gerald DeWeese of Mesa, Az.; and one sister, Jan Meirehoff of Emporia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bobby DeWeese; and a grandson.
The funeral service was Aug. 21, 2003, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Gainesville, Mo. with Jeff Dotson officiating. Burial was at Mammoth
Chase County Leader-News, Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, Aug 28, 2003.
