Kuntz, George Roy
George Roy Kuntz, 92, died Friday, July 4, 2008, at Newton.
Mr. Kuntz was born Feb 22, 1916, at Redbud, Kan.
He was a retired Roadmaster with the Santa Fe Railroad, a World War II Veteran and golfer extraordinaire.
He is survived by a daughter, Cindy Jones; two sons, Randy Kuntz and Chris Kuntz; a sister, Ruth Kendrigan; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews including Doug Jackson of Strong City. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kuntz; three brothers, Fred, Henry, Howard; and a sister, Velda.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 11, at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Burial follows at the Strong City Cemetery in Strong City. Local arrangements are by Croy Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Harry Hynes Hospice or the Newton Public Library Literary Program, in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, KS 67114.
