Manuel, David A Chase County Man Murdered.
The following letter was received last Thursday. Its delay was probably occasioned by the snow blockade.
Decatur, Illinois., Feb. 12, 1881.
Mr. Editor: A man has been murdered at Santer's Creek, about ten miles from this place. His age, we think, is about 20 years. We found some letters in his pocket showing that his name is David Manuel, (as near as we can make it out) and that he comes from Matfield Green, Chase county, Kansas. He was shot through the head. Maybe he has some friends or relatives who would like to know where he is. Henry Noble
