I am looking for information on Carolyn Pemberton. She was m. to Franklin who was killed in the Spanish-American War. They lived for awhile in OK. and had a son named Alfred. Carolyn returned to Columbus, KS. where she lived until her death 4-9-1937. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Query: I have a Jacob Luesley who is listed as having died in Kansas on 30 March 1891. His son, Richard, is on the 1900 census for Cherokee Co., KS. I was wondering if someone knows if either of these men died in Cherokee Co. Also, Jacob's wife, Matilda, is listed as having died in Kansas on 7 March 1896. Could she have died in Cherokee Co.? Luthar began collecting his military pension in March 1882.

Query: We are looking for descendants of Mary ADAMS who died in Galena on June 16, 1896. She had two sons and a daughter living in Galena at the time of her death, Mary Arabella ADAMS Jones(?), John Quincy ADAMS (who later moved to Seattle, Washington) and William Alexander ADAMS who died in Galena in March of 1900. Both Mary and son William are buried in Galena Cemetery on the west side of Galena. William had a number of children who lived in Galena, Scott, Silas, John, Luther, Myrtle, Sular, Willie May, Edith, Lloyd, Roy, and Bonnie (who died young and is also buried in Galena Cemetery). If you have any information on any of these ADAMS we would appreciate your help.

Query:My 2nd G-Grandparents Sarah and Samuel Smith are both burried in the Kitch Cemetery in Cherokee Co.
KS. Sarah has a tombstone. Where was it purchased? I would like to find the Original records to this cemetery & the caretaker. Both were living in Newton Co. Mo when died. Children took them back there for burial. The Smith family lived in Cherokee Co before
moving to Newton Co ca 1870. Was they related
to some of the others burried in the cemetery. Family stories said maybe?
I would like to find the records for the Timber Hill Friends Cemetery in Cherokee CO.
My G-Grandmother, Ruth Jay is burried there.

Query Looking for A John T Todd who Supposedly lived in Galena Cherokee Co Ks in the 1880s he was supposedly a printer and his wife was Sarah Hannah Bess Todd . In abt 1887 at night she woke to house on fire . Got 2 kids out but dont know what happen to John. . She walked with the 2 kids back to where she was from Montgomery Co Mo . Son was Leonard 5yrs and 3yr old Ann. if this story means anything to anyone please contact me.. Hannah and John were my gggrandparents.
