From: Vicky Drake dvicky@primenet.com
Date: Sunday, January 09, 2000 06:45 PM

An ancestor, George Washington Housden was thought to have lived in Galena in 1899 (this is where he signed some papers relative to a lawsuits re his uncle's will). Apparently he died Sept 9, 1900 in Galena. He is buried in Fayette County, Iowa, next to his mother and step father. I have known for some time that he died in 1900 but I just recently found the specific date and place. Is there anyone in Cherokee County that could look for a death records or an obituary? I would be most appreciative.
