Trying to find where Jacob R. Truxal who died ~1892 is buried. Also need info where Martha Calvin Truxal, his wife, is buried and when she died. Found Jacob's parents (Eli and Hannah Truxal), brothers (Benjamin & Henry Thomas Truxal), sisters (Esther Truxal Kline and Margaret Truxal Mason) buried in Wertonia Cemetery but have not been able to find Jacob and Martha. Another daughter married a Frank Burkhart (I did find them on the census in Joplin, MO).

Made some corrections to my message board and to add more info.
Eli Truxal m Hannah Rugh in 1844 in PA. They came to KS about 1866 with all but one of their children:
c: Benjamin Truxal (never married)
Solomon Truxal (stayed in PA & married)
Henry Thomas Truxal m Alice from Indiana
Margaret Truxal m John Mason in KS
Esther Truxal m Simon Kline in KS
*Jacob R. Truxal m Martha Calvin in KS
c: Rosa Truxal Sneed Warren (married 2)
Mollie Truxal Spiker
David Truxal m Louisa
Iva Truxal Barnhart Hines (married 2)
*William T. TRUXAL m Ethel S. Parsons
Eli Truxal m 3 times

Jacob died in 1888 but haven't found his burial place. Do not know when Martha died or where buried. Rosa Warren, and David are both buried in Joplin, MO, Mollie went to live in Butler Co., KS so assume she is buried there. William is buried next to Ethel in Phoenix, AR. I believe Iva is buried in MO or IN and not sure where Eli is buried but I do know it is in KS.

Also just found some Parsons: Andrew Jack Parsons married to Sedellia Sparlin and they lived in Baxter Springs.

My GGGrandparents (his name was Oscar Druitt, i don't know hers) came to the US from France in 1895 and settled in Cherokee County (West Mineral i believe). I am looking for any information about the family. There was one son Clifford Druitt who got stationed in France in the 40s and fell in love with it and stayed there. I know all the daughters married names, but have been unable to find any information about them. They were Angel/a Creger, Louise Bond, Martha Kerley, Lena Hetzler, Virginia Stack, and Bertha Van (Breusegem). Virginia Stack and her husband worked in a school for the deaf and dumb in Kansas, but i have no idea where. Bertha (my GGrandmother)married Paul Van Breusegem in Columbus, KS on February 24, 1912. Any help would appreciated!!

Topic: William Burns / Orley Leota Bailey family
From: Robert Smith bsmith@wcnet.org
Date: Tuesday, April 03, 2001 10:15 PM

William Burns, born abt. 1877-1879 married Orley Leota Bailey in early 1890s and had two children: Gertrude and William Marshall Burns. William (Sr.) died in a smallpox epidemic in 1901 and was buried in an unmarked grave in Galena by the family. Orley and children survived. Orley remarried at least once and had more children and lived north of Joplin on Lone Elm Rd. William Marshall Burns was killed in a car/train accident north of Joplin in October 1925. Half-brother Elmer James Brown was also in the accident but survived.

If anyone knows ANYTHING about this family, please contact me - bsmith@wcnet.org

I would like to know the who the parents of William Sr. were. It is said he was 1/2 American Indian. I would also like to know whatever happened to Elmer James Brown and other half-brothers & half-sisters of my grandfather, William Marshall Burns.

It is likely that descendants exist in the Galena / Joplin area of the Brown family - from Orley's subsequent marriages.

Ollie had 2 daughters named Bonnie and Goldie. I know nothing else. I am hoping that if I can find information on her I can find information on George. So anything would be great. Thanks!
