Seeking information about the early life and ancestry of my g-grandfather, Patrick Henry Lawless. Patrick Henry Lawless and Florence Annette Clark were married in Greene County Arkansas in 1874. Florence was born September 26, 1852, in Mount Carmel, Illinois, She was the daughter of Oliver Perry Clark and Juliet Mackrill (Rigg?) who resided in Illinois as late as 1870.

Patrick and Florence Lawless moved to Joplin, Missouri in 1875. Three sons were born to the couple while residing in Joplin: Frank M. in 1876; James E. in 1878, and my grandfather, Oliver F. in 1880. The Lawless family moved to Galena, Kansas in 1880. Patrick was involved in the mining business and was associated with Patrick Murphy and Tom Conner in some of the first mines in the district. Patrick Lawless died in Galena in 1882 (cause of death is unknown) and is thought to be buried in The Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. In December 1883, Florence married James Burris of Galena, Kansas.

The source of my information is a family letter and the obit for Florence who died in Sand Springs, Oklahoma in 1930. Any information about Patrick would be deeply appreciated.
